Today’s devotion comes from 2 Peter 1:16-18.
“For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”— and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.” 2 Peter 1:16-18.

We are eyewitnesses of His majesty.
“and though you have not seen Him (our Lord Jesus Christ), you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,” 1 Peter 1:8
But, you have seen great and awesome things that God has done for you which your eyes have seen.
“He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.” Deuteronomy 10:21
“Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.” 1 Chronicles 16:24 and Psalm 96:3.
“Return to your house and describe what great things God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.” Luke 8:39
“but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
And, God not only blesses the righteous, God also punishes the wicked who oppress us.
“Then all men will fear,
And they will declare the work of God,
And will consider what He has done.
The righteous man will be glad in the Lord and will take refuge in Him;
And all the upright in heart will glory.” Psalm 64:9-10.
And they will declare the work of God,
And will consider what He has done.
The righteous man will be glad in the Lord and will take refuge in Him;
And all the upright in heart will glory.” Psalm 64:9-10.
