 ²⁰  The crowd answered, “You have a demon!  Who seeks to kill You?”

 ²¹  Jesus answered them, “I did one deed, and you all marvel.

 ²²  “For this reason Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.

 ²³  “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on the Sabbath?

 ²⁴  “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”  John 7:19-24.

Let us first remember that God loves justice.  God exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, and He delights in these things.   

“Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;  but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth;  for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.”  Jeremiah 9:23-24. 

But, justice is not just favoring the poor.  

“You shall do no injustice in judgment;  you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.”  Leviticus 19:15.

Here is a prophecy about Jesus.  Notice the righteous judgment.

^“And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
         And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
         Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;

But with righteousness He will judge the poor,
         And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;
         And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
         And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.”  Isaiah 11:3-4.

Dispense true justice and practice kindness.

^“Thus has the LORD of hosts said, ‘Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother;  and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor;  and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.’ ”  Zechariah 7:9-10. 

Here is a summary given by Scripture on how we should live our lives.

Micah 6:8
“He has told you, O man, what is good;  And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?”

Here is one simple but very practical way that we all can do justice. 

We should be competent in both in the quality of our work and in what we charge.  We should provide just value in the labor and goods that we provide for the income that we receive.  We should charge;  it is just that we receive money;  but, we should charge fairly.
