“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another”

Today’s devotion is John 13:12-15.
 
“12  So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 
                                      
 13  “You call Me Teacher and Lord;  and you are right, for so I am.
                                                

 14  “If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

 15  “For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.”  John 13:12-15.

“Christ completely cleans us, His church, from sin” as stated in yesterday’s devotion;  that is the truth illustrated through the visual and physical display of washing the feet.  Although we cannot clean each other from sin, we can be kind to each other and forgive each other and encourage each other and build each other up. 

Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”
