“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32.
Psalm 84:11
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
We tend to think that we must earn it to get it. We tend to think that we must be good enough to get it. We tend to think that we must be pious enough or pray hard enough to get it.
Luke 12:32
“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.’
We are assured by these verses and other verses of God’s love and abundant and lavish provisions for us, His elect. “Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.”
These abundant and lavish provisions don’t tell us how good we are. They tell us how good God is.
