Today’s devotion comes from Acts 20:32-38.
“32 And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33 I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothes.
34 You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men who were with me.
35 In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
36 When he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
37 And they began to weep aloud and embraced Paul, and repeatedly kissed him,
38 grieving especially over the word which he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they were accompanying him to the ship.” Acts 20:32-38.

We don’t need to travel outside of today’s Scripture to learn that the inheritance is based on grace. But, let us take that trip anyway. We don’t have time within this devotion to hike down each trail. Here are some of the snapshots, and you can visit those places on your own.
Let these words of grace do their work and build you up and give you the inheritance.
Galatians 3:18
“For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.”

“In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14.
Colossians 1:12
“giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.”

Hebrews 9:15
“For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-5.
