“altogether joyful”

Today’s devotion comes from Deuteronomy 16:9-17.  Here is a link to this Scripture –

I quote only the following verses.

“9 “You shall count seven weeks for yourself;  you shall begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.  10 Then you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the Lord your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give just as the Lord your God blesses you;  11 and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite who is in your town, and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your midst, in the place where the Lord your God chooses to establish His name.  12 You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.

13 “You shall celebrate the Feast of Booths seven days after you have gathered in from your threshing floor and your wine vat;  14 and you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter and your male and female servants and the Levite and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are in your towns.  15 Seven days you shall celebrate a feast to the Lord your God in the place which the Lord chooses, because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.”  Deuteronomy 16:9-15.

“Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones;
And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.”  Psalm 32:11.

“Sing for joy in the Lord, O you righteous ones;  Praise is becoming to the upright.”  Psalm 33:1.

“The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;  The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.”  Psalm 118:15.

“They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.”  Psalm 145:7.

“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;  Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.”  Psalm 98:4.

“And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout.”  Psalm 105:43.

“For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace;  The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”  Isaiah 55:12.

“They will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, And they will be radiant over the bounty of the Lord— Over the grain and the new wine and the oil, And over the young of the flock and the herd;  And their life will be like a watered garden, And they will never languish again.”  Jeremiah 31:12.

“Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting;  Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”  Psalm 126:2.

“Shout for joy, O heavens, for the Lord has done it!  Shout joyfully, you lower parts of the earth;  Break forth into a shout of joy, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it;  For the Lord has redeemed Jacob And in Israel He shows forth His glory.”  Isaiah 44:23.

“Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion!  Shout in triumph, O Israel!  Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!”  Zephaniah 3:14.
