“The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold.”

Today’s devotion comes from Ezekiel chapter 46.  Here is a link to this chapter – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+46&version=NASB

I quote only the following verse.

“When they go in, the prince shall go in among them;  and when they go out, he shall go out.”  Ezekiel 46:10.

——————

Like yesterday’s Scripture, today’s Scripture again points to Christ, the Prince, but instead of focusing on His provision of peace, we focus on His provision of presence.

The Prince’s place is His presence with His people.  “When they go in, the prince shall go in among them;  and when they go out, he shall go out.”  Verse 10.

We are reminded of the following Scripture.

“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”  Matthew 18:20.

“… the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9.

“… He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”  Hebrews 13:5.

“God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.  Selah.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.  Selah.”  Psalm 46:1-7.
